The best plan for a Mother's Day event is Sunday Brunch ! Brunch is often the first choice that enters the mind when making Mother’s Day plans. Or it’s often the last especially if all your other great gift intentions have failed out. Here are five great last minute brunch spots In Palm Beach County!
CAFÉ BOULUD, Palm Beach
The exquisite café, located inside The Brazilian Court hotel, is serving a Mother’s Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Executive Chef Rick Mace and his top-notch crew are roasting leg of lamb and prime rib, and hand-making pasta. They’re offering a bounty of desserts as well (think tropical panna cotta and fresh pastries), created by Boulud’s pastry chef, Eric Snow.
Bonus: Boulud’s talented sommelier, Mariya Kovacheva, has crafted a “Think Pink” Mother’s Day bubbly special. She’s pouring rose Champagnes from Ayala, Chiquet and Billiot at $15 per glass or $25 for a sampling of all three.
Brunch costs $68 per adult and $35 per child aged 10 and younger, plus tax and tip. Reservations are required.

THE BACKYARD BAR, West Palm
Brunch at The Backyard Bar is served just as the eatery’s name implies: in the backyard. While there’s indoor seating as well at this spot, the best seats are in the lushly set garden patio that’s tucked behind Palm Beach Hibiscus bed and breakfast.
Mother’s Day brunch, which goes from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., is a “gourmet” breakfast buffet by chef Michael Ober. On the spread: fruit salad with roasted almonds, charcuterie platters, spinach and cheddar scrambled eggs, fresh frittatas, pan-fried salmon, pork loin steaks with a pecan-rosemary crust, assorted breads and pastries, and desserts such as apple pie with rosewater-infused vanilla sauce.

How about a jazz brunch for Mom? This Boca eatery is offering a nice one Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Pavilion’s 4th annual Mother’s Day Jazz Brunch is serving up a classic brunch buffet with meat-carving stations, chef-made omelets, Italian and Asian dishes, salads and breakfast favorites. There’s also an ice cream sundae bar and a full dessert spread.
All this to the smooth jazz sounds of the Deborah Paiva Jazz Duo.
Brunch is $49.95 per adult, $19.95 per child aged 6 to 12, free for kids 5 and younger. An “unlimited mimosa” option costs an additional $7 per adult. (Plus tax and tip.)

BISTRO TEN ZERO ONE, West Palm
Welcome to the always-inspired little bistro that’s located in an unexpected place – a busy Marriott Hotel. On Sunday, Bistro’s Mother’s Day brunch, served from noon to 5 p.m., takes inspiration from its own herb and produce garden.
Some highlights: On the carving station, you’ll find whole bone-in Palmetto Creek ham in a pineapple glaze and beer-brined roasted turkey with pan gravy. At the raw bar station, there’s king crab legs, oysters, peel-and-eat shrimp and mussels. A full spread of brunch classics (like omelets and waffles) is offered. Entrées include local seared fish with bay scallops, braised osso buco with organic blue cheese grits, and roasted free-range chicken with garden greens and lemon thyme jus. And there’s a selection of seasonally inspired mini desserts.
Brunch costs $45 per adult, $22 per child age 10 and younger, plus tax and tip.

Not only does this restaurant offer one of north county’s best oceanfront views, it also employs one of the area’s best chefs. And chef Larry LaValley is cooking both breakfast and brunch on Mother’s Day.
His breakfast buffet goes from 8 to 11 a.m., and costs $22 per adult, $12 per child under age 12. Highlights include raspberry and cream-stuffed French toast and maple-smoked trout.
The brunch buffet, served from noon to 3 p.m., includes hearty dishes like crispy chicken and jalapeno-cheddar waffles with bacon-onion jam and maple syrup, Dijon-crusted pork loin at the carving station, lobster fritters and truffle potato salad with caviar. Desserts include gorgonzola cheesecake with strawberry-rhubarb jam.
Brunch costs $48 per adult, $16 per child age 12 and younger.
The restaurant is serving a special a la carte dinner menu as well, from 5 to 10 p.m.
